ACTIVE YOUTH

We are network/fraternity based youth organization aimed to get our goal - healthy and skilled Youth interconnected through friendships, co-operation, mentoring and organizing various kinds of events.

Basically what we do and focus on is:

1. ACTIVE CITIZENSHIP

- We motivate youngsters to live an active life no matter what they like or what they do.
- We are supporting them through the "ACTIVITY CLUBS" where they might do their hobbies on regular base.
- We provide financial, material and personal support to our members (funding balls, equipment, events, championships, etc.)
- We do lot of team-building activities such as BBQs, hiking trips, city trips, etc.

2. NON-FORMAL / INFORMAL EDUCATION

- We motivate and youngsters to learn-by-doing, thus via non-formal and informal education
- Our members get support by organizing various kind of event (debates, public speeches, hearings, workshops, etc.)

3. NETWORKING

- We are trying to enrich our network by getting as much youngsters and adult individuals as possible
- We are trying to connect youngsters both horizontally and vertically:
A. Horizontally – We want to connect youngsters among cities within Slovakia as well as with youngsters from foreign countries and brake the attitudes among counties/regions.
B. Vertically – We want to connect youngster among different age layers (minors, adolescent high school students, undergraduates, PHD students, alumni and adults), so they can share one other knowledge and experience much faster.

- We are building connections to politicians, officials, majors and other public persons, businessmen, deans and teachers, other NGOs and their members, etc. so that we can exchange ideas and help to improve current systems, thus making the society around us better day-by-day.

4. MENTORING

- We are putting forward what we got – our knowledge and experience to our younger fellows, both positive and negative examples – thus giving mentoring
- We have professional coaches among our friends and we provide our broaden professional network, thus we can help our members to build their profiles more rapidly
- We are making our web stronger and richer by developing and mentoring youngsters when we help them to find an appropriate professional orientation.

5. INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION

- We want to continue in participating on several international projects like seminars, forums and ERASMUS+ projects,
- We want to start organizing our own ERASMUS+ exchange projects and trainings, thus we seek for partner organizations and NGOs,
- We are open to cooperation with foreign NGOs, NGO members, Universities and Schools, Fraternities & Brotherhoods, R&D centers, etc.
-We want to spread our network to foreign countries and set up branches/affiliates there, thus we look for volunteers like us to cooperate with us.

5. CULTURAL COOPERATION

- We started several “CULTURE CLUBS” for mutual cultural exchange among foreign students and youngsters here in Slovakia and our Slovak members and for mutual long-term friendships. We do have Nordic Club, Baltic Club, Russian/Caucasian Club, Balkan Club, etc.
- We bring our culture specifics and our big heart to foreigners spending time here and let them share their culture and values with us (culture evenings, foreign movies evenings, culture fests)
- We are organizing trips for both foreigners and Slovaks, so we can show our lovely cultural and natural heritage to our foreign friends and deepen our friendship thanks to time spent and team-building activities.
- We have couple cultural festivals in pipeline (e.g. Scandinavian-Slovak days in Slovakia, Baltic days of friendship, Swedish “Lucy” fest in December, Norwegian Spring fest, etc.)

6. ENVIRO PROJECTS

- We want to change our surroundings positively through fixing and renewing our neighborhood playgrounds, keeping our National Parks clean and with renewed hiking signs on trees & rocks, making clean-up campaigns and civic participation on improving the environment (debates, meeting with majors and municipalities, etc.)

7. HEALTH ISSUES

- We are trying to make informal/non-formal educative events for improving health conditions among youngsters (healthy lifestyle, healthy food-n-drinks, negative aspects of using narcotics, and negative aspects on human bodies) in order to prevent from permanent youngsters’ bodies damage.

WHO/WHAT are we looking for?

- Active and motivated youngsters from Slovakia and other countries
- NGOs and NGO members for co-operation mainly from Scandinavian and Baltic countries, Czech republic, Germany, Russia and Caucasian countries (Azerbaijan, Georgia, Armenia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, etc.) as well as from Balkan countries and EMEA region.
- Youngsters willing to start our new affiliates/branches in your areas/countries
- ERASMUS+ partners
