ANDCTR

ANDCTR is a young organisation, whose main goal is to support any youth initiatives, both in ecology area and social, civic and cultural areas also, in order to sustain the active involvement of young people in the community actions. The young people represent the target group which ANDCTR is addressed, following their involvement in activities like the promotion of youngsters involvement in their community problems, the solutions of solving those and the promotion of active citizenship. ANDCTR includes an effective of 10 active members and more than 20 volunteers which are involved in different activities, demarches and projects of the NGO. The young people, both members and volunteers, most of them are students, and each has accumulated at least 1 year experience in volunteering. This is an experience gained in other NGOs, where they activated before becoming members of the ANDCTR, or within, voluntary activities organized by various NGOs in Craiova. The members of the organization are enrolled in various fields, from Law to Electrical Engineering from the Communication and Public Relations to Medicine. Also, some of them are working in different fields like IT, human resources, journalism, etc. ANDCTR activities aimed at increasing youth civic engagement in Craiova, environmental protection and promotion of human rights. First projects and activities implemented by ANDCTR members targeted the awareness of civil society regarding environmental protection and involving in the life of the community, solving the local problems and promotion of ecology. Another category of projects developed by ANDCTR’s members was exclusively addressed to youth and children with special needs. In order to promote volunteering and active involvement of young people in volunteering the Association ANDCTR developed on the streets of Craiova, one project where young people shared flyers and pens which promoted the idea of volunteering and the importance of active involvement of youth in volunteer activities. The volunteers of our organization are enthusiastic and actively involved in many volunteer projects. They also implemented projects both within the organization ANDCTR and in other NGOs, from which they were part. The seriousness which was sown during the development of all activities made them known in the volunteering world.
The beneficiaries of projects on which members of the organization ANDCTR participated were local community from which they belong, young people from different social groups and young people with fewer opportunities.
