Association "DONUM ANIMUS"

Non profit/ non governmental organisation "DONUM ANIMUS" is based in LATVIA (European Union).

The motto of our activities - "You must do the thing you think you cannot do." /Eleanor Roosevelt /

Our activities and expertise are :

1. development of competences, literacy, confidence of people from disadvantaged social groups on their abilities;
2. social inclusion (paying special emphasize on people from disadvantaged groups);
3. social entrepreneurship;
4. promotion of media literacy and  critical thinking  for combating hate speech;
5. promotion of non- discriminatory attitudes and combating stereotypes in society;
6. empowerment of women,
7. self-assessment, development of skills and competences, practical support of self realization and promotion of gender equality;
8. sustainable rural and urban development;
9. inter-generational and intercultural dialogue;
10. healthy life-style;
11. cross-sectoral cooperation development;
structured dialogue;
12. civic education and active citizenship and participation;
13. cooperation development with EU neighbourhood countries (Eastern Partnership countries), Central Asia, EuroMed and Nordic Countries and other regions ensuring good governance and sustainable development of local societies;
14. promotion of sustainable (re)-use of natural resources;
15. peacebuilding.

Organisation holds Special Consultative Status of the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) of the United Nations

DONUM ANIMUS is the Steering Committee Member of the Anna Lindh Foundation Latvian National Network

DONUM ANIMUS was the Official Partner Organization of the Latvian Presidency of the Council of the European Union
DONUM ANIMUS is European Union delegate of the Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum

DONUM ANIMUS is Civil Society Partner of the Cooperation Memorandum Between Non-governmental Organizations and the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Latvia

DONUM ANIMUS is Member Organisation from Latvia of DYPALL Network (Developing Youth Participation at Local Level) that aims to involve young people in decision-making processes.
